A combined Russian missile and drone attack in Kyiv overnight Tuesday killed at least 14 people — including an American citizen — and wounded 44 others, according to Ukrainian officials.

It was the deadliest attack on the Ukrainian capital in almost a year, and came as Moscow has intensified air assaults on the city.

Russia has launched dozens of drones as well as several ballistic and cruise missiles on four Ukrainian cities, killing at least 14 people in Kyiv.
