Intense negotiations are underway among House Republicans in the leadup to a crucial vote Sunday evening as GOP leadership races to get Trump’s sweeping tax and spending cuts bill back on track after an embarrassing setback late last week.

Republicans advanced their massive tax cut and border security package out of a key House committee during a rare Sunday night vote.

The approval on May 18 advances the measure toward possible passage in the House of Representatives later this week.
