Bill Belichick still needs to fill out his first staff as the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels, and he reportedly has his eye on the NFL level.

The New York Jets were reportedly setting up a meeting to hire Bill Belichick before UNC offered him the head coaching position.

Bill Belichick might have been entertaining a black and green hoodie instead of a Carolina blue one. Per a report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the legendary NFL coach’s inner circle had informal conversations with the New York Jets before he accepted the head coaching job at North Carolina.

Bill Belichick apparently didn't due his due diligence before taking the UNC job. The former Patriots coach reportedly showed interest in the New York Jets.
