ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando officials on Thursday denounced the overnight removal of a rainbow-colored crosswalk outside the Pulse nightclub where 49 people were gunned down, saying it was part of an attack on LGBTQ lives by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis' administration.

A rainbow crosswalk that was part of the Pulse Memorial site in Florida was removed overnight, according to NBC affiliate WESH. The news station reported that the crosswalk located on the south side of the Pulse Nightclub at West Esther was originally painted in 2017.
