UCF transfer Marcellus Marshall is expected to be on campus Tuesday. He has nearly 2,500 snaps of experience and would bring a veteran presence up front. Another player to watch is UCLA transfer Niki Prongos, who played nearly 500 snaps last season at left tackle as a redshirt freshman.

Gophers redshirt sophomore receiver Kristen Hoskins entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday. The former three-star recruit from Alexandria, Minn., played four total snaps — two apiece in 2022 and 2024 — and had one carry for two yards this season.

Meanwhile, at least seven Gophers have announced plans to leave Minnesota, although none were major contributors this season. P.J. Fleck and company seem to be doing a good job adding and retaining talent, and hopefully it'll lead to more success in the coming years.

The Gophers football program kept up its success in the NCAA transfer portal into Monday. After picking up seven commitments Sunday, the U added Stony Brook defensive lineman Rushawn Lawrence to its haul.

Redshirt freshman offensive tackle Phillip Daniels plans to leave the U after rising into the starting lineup midseason.

A.J. Turner, leaving Marshall, Cameron Davis, exiting Washington, and Cole Cabana, departing Michigan, bolster Minnesota’s backfield. Javon Tracy, from Miami (Ohio), joins the receiver corps.

The Gophers now have four transfer for 2025, with Georgia Tech quarterback Zach Pyron and Purdue tight end Drew Biber. Head coach P.J. Fleck said the U wants to add 10-15 players via the portal before next season.
