Mikel Arteta has said that the injury that caused Gabriel Jesus to depart Arsenal's FA Cup third-round defeat against Manchester United on a stretcher is "not looking good." The Arsenal forward left the pitch in the 40th minute with the match goalless in north London following an innocuous coming together with United captain Bruno Fernandes.

Mikel Arteta says the “necessity” for Arsenal to add to their squad has ramped up after injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. Saka tore his hamstring in December and will be out of action until at least March, while Jesus is set for a long spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee earlier this month.
