A man faces several charges after he was arrested trying to bring a machete and other weapons into the Capitol's visitor center.

Capitol Police say the man was arrested after putting a bag containing a machete and several knives through an X-ray screening machine.

A man was arrested Wednesday for trying to bring a machete and knives into the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, police said. U.S. Capitol police said officers spotted the machete in the man's bag as it went through the X-ray machine,
