LeBron James has been battling left foot soreness, and his absence has been felt by the Los Angeles Lakers in recent games. The team suffered a 97-87 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves without him. LeBron’s frustration was evident after the Lakers failed to advance to the NBA Cup quarterfinals.

LeBron James, who has sat out the last two games because of a foot injury and didn't travel with the Lakers to Minnesota, could play on Sunday.

LeBron James missed their last two games due to left foot soreness not too long after going through arguably the roughest stretch of his career during which he failed to reach 20 points in five of six games.

1. Wolves look to turn things around. Despite losing their last game, the Timberwolves have won four of their last five matches. They beat the LA Clippers twice, Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in that span and are above .500 (12-11).

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves will face off at the Target Center. For the game, the Lakers have announced their injury report (updated as of 3:30 Eastern Time).

After getting a few days off to reset, the Los Angeles Lakers returned to the court on Friday night when they traveled north to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
