Matthew Golden was the third pure receiver selected in the NFL Draft but the perfect fit for Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. Pro Football Focus picked the eight best veteran-rookie pairings emerging from the draft.

The Packers' QB room behind Love also includes Malik Willis and Sean Clifford. It seems like Elgersma's best chance to make the roster would be to beat out former Penn State QB Sean Clifford. Elgersma has the winning pedigree and the swagger to be a good NFL player. Long-term backups are a valuable QB piece for every team.
