Goodyear is cutting 850 jobs at its plant in Danville, Virginia, according to a statement from the city's manager.

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - Approximately 850 jobs are set to be cut from Danville’s Goodyear tire plant, the company confirmed to WDBJ7. Goodyear reached an agreement with the United Steelworkers union to eliminate the positions as part of a “global transformation plan” that the company announced in January.
