The main singles draw at the US Open does not start until this weekend but the mixed doubles are already well underway. The first round of matches took place last night with Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz teaming up on the court. They were dumped out in the very first round by Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula, who progressed to the semi-finals.

The tennis player couldn't focus on her match with a baby that had been crying in the audience for nearly 10 minutes.

In a third-round match between WTA world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and British No. 1 Emma Raducanu Monday in Cincinnati, Raducanu was distracted by a constant cry from a child in the crowd. In a critical moment of the match, she paused her serve to take it up with the chair umpire.
