Florida deputy killed after suspect pulls out rifle during traffic stop: sheriff
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said during an evening news conference that Cpl. Elio Diaz pulled over a white pickup truck for a traffic stop shortly after 3 p.m. at a Chevron gas station when the suspect pulled out a rifle and shot the deputy. The deputy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
