An administrator who worked on DEI initiatives at the University of Michigan has been fired for allegedly making antisemitic comments at a conference in March. The administrator, Rachel Dawson, was director of the university’s Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives.

The University of Michigan failed to investigate dozens of complaints of anti-Semitism on campus, according to a Department of Education (DoE) report.

The incident came as the university has faced questions about its ability to protect Jewish students and personnel.
