Thunder center/forward Chet Holmgren has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the host Spurs due to a sprained left ankle.

Holmgren was out for the team's latest contest against the San Antonio Spurs, though he's set to return on the second night of the back-to-back. The last time Holmgren and Hartenstein were both active, the Thunder staggered the two more. Daigneault opted to start Holmgren and bring Hartenstein off the bench.

Per the NBA's official injury report, Chet Holmgren — now dealing with a left ankle sprain — will miss the festivities at Frost Bank Center, marking his first scratch since returning from a pelvic fracture in his hip earlier this season.
