The retrial of Karen Read, the Massachusetts woman accused of hitting her police officer boyfriend with her car and leaving him for dead, will resume following an abrupt one-day break in court proceedings.
Proceedings in the retrial of Karen Read are being suspended Tuesday due to “unavoidable circumstances,” court officials said. “Please be advised that the trial in Commonwealth v. Karen Read is not taking place today due to unavoidable circumstances,” the Trial Court said in a statement.
