BATON ROUGE — After rumors swirled online about LSU football senior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the severity of a potential injury he suffered during the team's practice Wednesday morning, head coach Brian Kelly quelled any concerns of a long-term issue Friday.

L SU had a brief scare earlier this week when starting quarterback and Heisman hopeful Garrett Nussmeier was rumored to suffer an injury at practice. The school maintained that there was no major injury and on Friday coach Brian Kelly told the press that it was nothing more than tendinitis.
