A growing wall of flowers and photographs honoring the victims of last weekend’s deadly floods has been taking shape in Kerrville over the last 48 hours.
A procession Saturday will return the body of 12-year-old Shiloh Wilson, who died in last week's Hill Country flooding, to his hometown of Kingwood.
Claire Reese Manchaca, 21, was with three friends in the Hill Country when the devastating flooding hit. After an extensive search, Manchaca's body was found on Monday. On Wednesday, she was returned to Conroe to be laid to rest. All five Montgomery County constable precincts sent deputies to Kerrville to escort Manchaca's body back home.
Her father, Ty Badon, joined the search for his daughter in Hunt, Texas, and told CNN that while calling out her name he ended up discovering the body of a young boy, who is believed to have died in the flood. Husband and wife Bobby Martin, 46, and Amanda Martin, 44, also lost their lives, Mr Martin's father told the New York Times.
