I could not believe that the facility is free. We parked in overflow parking and they had tram service to get us next to the viewing area. The facility is very well maintained and buzzing with people… Full review by AjayJM
is this not open in summer because the manatees go elsewhere?

Per Teco's website it is open Nov 1 - April 15. When visiting during the season, be sure to wear polarized sunglasses, you will be able to spot the manatees much better.
