It does go at set times. They are quite frequent. We very much preferred the walk and it was very leisurely. You also get to see the animals better because there isn't a crowd all congregating at the same time. I would suggest that if you're going to feed the giraffes (and this a great experience) get there about 15mins before and you'll be near the front and not feel rushed.

It definitely depends on what you are after. The Antarctic centre is more of an experience with a 3D movie, trip in an all terrain vehicle, snow room and a museum and some penguins. …

It definitely depends on what you are after. The Antarctic centre is more of an experience with a 3D movie, trip in an all terrain vehicle, snow room and a museum and some penguins. Orana is a wildlife park where the attraction is the animals. Both are good but, for me it would depend on the weather. If the weather is bad then I'd go to the Antarctic centre as it's inside. If it's a lovely day then Orana.

I don't know if there is public transport from the airport. I had a rental car. Check the airport website for possible transportation.
