The view of the castle from the top of the Vennel steps is super, and well worth the climb, although you can take a rest as the steps come in sets rather than an ongoing flight. An atmospheric older …Full review by SolihullRichard

Great viewpoint & photo opportunity for Edinburgh Castle. Go early morning before it is crowded. Before 10am good. Look for Mary’s Milkbar to find the step.Full review by Leon2161

If you want a great photo of the Castle, this is well worth making the effort for. Just off the Grassmarket, climb the steps to the top for an amazing view.Full review by annw156
